i think i've mentioned several of my haircut-attempts-turned-great-debacles before.

there was that time when silas and i were engaged that he asked me to cut his hair.  it took me like an hour and a half of painstaking scissor work, and it looked so bad that when i left he had his roommate just buzz it.

then there was that time i cut silas' hair (a few years later...old wounds heal slowly) and gave him lloyd bangs.

and of course, that time a couple months ago when i gave him what i thought was an okay haircut...until i saw the very distinct "HERE'S WHERE I CHANGED BLADES" line of demarcation and the chunk that was missing just above his ear.

(chunk of hair, not skin.  i'm not that bad.)

so, now that you know my background...

tesla was supposed to get his hair cut on monday.  yes, this monday.  two days from now.  but during naptime i while i was blog-reading i got this sudden surge of motivation and confidence.

"i can cut tesla's hair!"  i thought.  "why waste time and money going out for a haircut when i can give him a perfectly good moderately acceptable one at home?"

so, armed with my youtube videos, my common sense, and my WAHL special all-in-one haircutting kit, i tackled the task.

and this was the final product.  you probably think i did a fairly decent job, don't you?

oh ye of little faith.

  4. Robin i totally used kipper! It was mostly my fault, not his....I took the guard off of the clippers to trim up the bottom bc it was a little long, thinking it'd give me a closer trim....and then there was a bald spot.

It was a really close trim.
